Ultra-rugged industrial tablet in a slim design: high performance for demanding applications
With the Rocktab U210 G2, WEROCK Technologies GmbH, innovative manufacturer of industrial computer technologies, presents the new generation of the robust Rocktab U210 tablet. With a depth of just 15mm and a weight of only 996g, it is particularly compact. The new, powerful processor significantly improves both performance and energy efficiency, making the ultra-rugged Windows tablet the ideal choice for professional applications.
Whether for optimising work processes, efficient warehouse operations, diagnostic work in vehicles or use in industrial production – the new Rocktab U210 G2 from WEROCK adapts to the requirements of a wide range of industries. It combines a robust design with the user-friendly handling of modern consumer tablets.
Thanks to the built-in Intel® Quad-Core N100 processor, the Rocktab U210 G2 not only boasts outstanding energy efficiency compared to its predecessor model, but also a significant performance improvement of over 100%. In addition, the 16 GB RAM, which is now twice as large as the previous generation, enables even smoother working, even with complex processes. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11 Pro and Ubuntu Linux-based systems are supported. An NVMe SSD available with up to 2 TB offers sufficient storage space for apps, images and documentation. The memory can be expanded by an additional 1 TB via a micro SD slot.
The tablet is MIL-STD-810G certified and even exceeds the usual military standard. Instead of the usual 1.2 m drop height, the Rocktab U210 G2 can even withstand 1.5 m drops under difficult conditions. It was also subjected to a so-called drum test to test its drop resistance in everyday use. In this test, the tablet has to withstand 40 consecutive drops from a height of 1 metre. The Rocktab U210 G2 is waterproof and dustproof in accordance with the IP65 standard. With a temperature range of -20° to +60° Celsius, the Rocktab U210 G2 is ready for use in demanding environments.
The 10.1-inch outdoor display with a brightness of up to 800 cd/m² offers good readability even in direct sunlight. It has a robust capacitive touchscreen with a pre-installed armoured glass film and exceeds the IK06 impact resistance rating; it can also be operated with gloves. It is gesture-compatible, highly precise and suitable for capturing signatures thanks to the digitiser. A matching stylus is optionally available. With a battery capacity of 33 Wh, the tablet remains ready for use for up to 7 hours. The hot-swap functionality allows the device to work without interruption, as the battery can be changed during operation.
The Rocktab U210 G2 offers maximum connectivity with an RJ45 network connection, mini HDMI, full-size USB 3.2 type A and a USB-C connection with display port, which enables up to two external monitors to be connected. The port also supports Power Delivery, which enables fast charging of the device. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are available for wireless connections. The optional 4G LTE high-speed internet connection with up to 300 Mbps enables particularly fast data connections when WiFi is not available.
With the optional office docking station with monitor outputs, the Rocktab U210 G2 strikes a balance between field work and office work. It offers a network connection, USB ports, monitor output and serial ports. Optionally, the tablet can be equipped with a high-end 1D/2D barcode scanner with advanced laser aiming and a standard range of up to 80cm reading distance.
Long-term availability is planned for the new Rocktab U210 G2, which is expected to make it available until 2030.
