Launched: The new company WEROCK Technologies presents bodycam for public authorities

Pforzheim, 1. September 2020 – WEROCK Technologies GmbH from Pforzheim, Germany, innovative supplier of industrial information technology and image processing systems, announces the foundation of the company and presents the first product with the bodycam “Impakt BC200”. The manufacturer specialises in modern IT systems for application areas with special requirements.

WEROCK was founded with the aim of providing the heroes of everyday life with modern and powerful technologies, while at the same time avoiding the negative effects of electronics production on the environment or, where this is not possible, compensating for them. The company was registered in the Commercial Register on 27 July 2020. Markus Nicoleit was appointed as managing director.

Nicoleit, who already has a rich industrial experience, is no stranger to the industry. Numerous products from his work are found in large companies and corporations throughout Europe. In the past years he was product manager at 4logistic Ltd., where he was in charge of the private label portfolio, accompanied various major projects and since 2013 he has been supporting industrial customers in the areas of product management, business development and marketing.

“We want to make the world a better place – by providing our everyday heroes with modern and powerful technology and by compensating for the negative effects of these products on the environment,” says Markus Nicoleit. By everyday heroes, he means carers, parcel delivery staff, but also police officers. “I am convinced that economy and ecology are not contradictory. That this is not contradictory is demonstrated by companies like Shiftphone or Fairphone, which have been successfully positioning themselves in the market for years”, Nicoleit continues.

With Impakt BC200, WEROCK now presents its first product: a high-performance body cam with WLAN streaming for use in police and public order offices, fire departments and security services. The robust bodycam convinces with great functions and easy handling.

An integrated pre-recording buffer stores valuable video footage before the actual recording in 2K Ultra HD. The integrated battery is designed for typical everyday use and records up to 12 hours of video with one battery charge. Thanks to the industry-leading fast charging technology, the Bodycam is fully operational again after only 3 hours. The use of the latest video compression technology is also revolutionary. Thus the internal memory offers space for several days of video recording. This not only provides more flexibility in use but also considerable cost advantages in archiving. With a depth of just over 2 cm and a weight of just 120 grams, the bodycam can be worn without any restrictions. Nevertheless it is robustly built, completely water and dust proof and can even be used in icy temperatures down to -20°C.

“With the Impakt BC200, the first product we have is a real highlight. It is packed with numerous unique features that will prove their worth in use. At the same time, we can fully compensate for the CO2 emissions of production – and all this at a fair price point,” says Nicoleit, pleased with the launch of the new product.

Impakt BC200 is available immediately from direct sales or from government suppliers. To expand the sales network, interested government suppliers can contact WEROCK as a support point partner. WEROCK offers its partners an exclusive premium service covering the entire range of services and competitive conditions.
