Rugged Tablet Rocktab S110 and Rugged Handheld PDA Scoria A105 with Google Logo

WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative manufacturer of industrial IT and communications solutions, is expanding the functionality of its Rocktab S110 rugged tablet and Scoria A105 mobile handheld computer. Both models are now also available with Google Mobile services.

With the addition of the Google Mobile Services (GMD) software package to both devices, WEROCK is expanding the feature set to include numerous popular functions. These include Google Search, Google Chrome, Google Maps and the Google Play Store with access to over millions of apps and continuous app updates. The variants without Google services remain available.

The Rocktab S110 is a rugged 10″ tablet with an attractive price-performance ratio for adverse work environments. In addition to a bright display for outdoor work and a gesture-compatible touchscreen, the device is equipped with numerous interfaces and features LTE connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and WLAN. The tablet is also available as an 8″ variant with Google services.

The advanced Scoria A105 touch computer combines typical smartphone applications and professional industrial use and is particularly interesting for intralogistics, logistics and courier services. In addition to a high-end 1D/2D barcode scanner, which increases the efficiency of work processes through fast and reliable scans, the handheld mobile computer naturally also has all other typical smartphone functions. The model has also been certified for Ivanti WaveLink Velocity. Velocity is an SAP S/4HANA-certified solution and offers terminal emulation and an industrial browser.

Fully designed for use in harsh environments, both devices are waterproof and dustproof to IP65, can withstand drops from 1.2 meters and can be reliably used in both very cold and very hot environments. This makes the devices ideal for use on construction sites, in warehouses, in vehicles, in the field for craftsmen and service providers, and also in rescue operations.

Markus Nicoleit, Managing Director of WEROCK Technologies GmbH, explains:

We are very pleased that we can now offer the Rocktab S110 and Scoria A105 with Google Mobile services. The upgrade of both models now makes it even easier to install apps and makes the model even more attractive, especially for smaller installations. This underlines our claim to always be able to offer our customers the perfect solution.
